Srinagar, June 24(KNO): Young BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member for Khonmoh Er Aijaz Hussain Monday inaugurated the much awaited state of the art multipurpose community Hall in Balhama area of the Srinagar which comes at the cost of Rs 1.5 Crore. As per news agency--Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the locals of not just Balhama but its adjoining areas hailed the move and praised Er Aijaz for pursuing the construction of the desperately needed community hall in a short span of time. At the inaugural ceremony, hundreds of people including elderly, women and children were present on the occasion, who raised pro Er Aijaz slogans. The area witnessed jubilations as the locals were desperately waiting for the community hall that would fulfil their many needs including organising marriages, holding interactive sessions and mourning the demise of one who leaves the world. The project, undertaken by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Block Khonmoh, aims to provide a range of facilities to the residents of the area. Speaking on the occasion, the BJP leader Er Ajaz Hussain emphasized the significance of this great project for the community stating that the area desperately needed the community hall. “I am by the people and for the people. I have to ensure that projects are taken up and completed within the stipulated time frame so that people feel relieved. Fulfilling the promises made by us also helps people feel the difference between BJP and other parties,” he said, adding that many works have been initiated in the area and many have already been completed that include roads and water supply schemes. He said that they will be working on macdamization roads, upgrading of school buildings besides upgrading the health facilities in Khonmoh DDC. “The area was ignored by the political parties in the past 70 years but not anymore. We are for the people and committed to fulfil all their demands so that they feel the change and guarantee promised by our leader Prime Minister Narendera Modi,” he said—(KNO)
